 Review:
Patty Jenkins brings the adrenaline filled comic inspired movie to theaters. Though not a lot of familiar faces but a familiar photo from the movie Batman vs Superman. In this movie we are allowed to warm up to the incredible Gal Gaddot who plays the role of Diana, the lead character, Wonder Woman.

Diana is an Amazon princess in a breathtaking island which is obviously a tropical paradise with its captivating views and beautiful landscape.
Chris Pine on the other hand is a spy who was rescued at sea by Gaddot and compelled by the Amazonians to tell them about what he seeks in their Island which he does and ends up alerting them about the war which has taken so many lives. Shaken by this information, Diana is determined to restore peace to the world against her mothers wish with Chris Pine to lead her to the war front.
The strongest theme in the movie is feminism which is seen when Diana comments on the unacceptable societal position of women outside her home followed by Love which is seen when Chris dies to save the human race.
The movie was necessary in the sense that it was a nice thing to finally see a female superhero. Though it wasn't well scripted, everything happened too fast and didn't flow from scene to scene. The story line seemed too weak and didn't appear like something which was well thought out. The fight scenes weren't even close to being believable; It focused mainly on the protagonist and only surprises us when the real antagonist shows up towards the end.
Wonder woman's role in the war and politics would have been the main focus of the movies conclusion and not the ponderous superhero story line. We get it everyone loves a hero but it didn't have to be that way. Wonder Woman would have been one of the best superhero movie of all times if some of the vital elements needed to make a movie to remember wasn't overlooked.
In all Wonder woman is a great movie but wasn't properly outlined. It's hype actually paid off because it's the eight highest grossing movie of 2017. It has the biggest opening ever from a female director.(kudos to Jenkins). We are glad that even though it wasn't what we expected it was able to pass on the message of female empowerment and feminism.
Yes you should totally watch the movie if you haven't just so you can go through the same torture I went through.
Kudos Jenkins for this one.
feel free to let us know how you felt about the movie too.
p.s you should watch the movie though.
