Hundreds missing after South Korean ship sinks

A North Korean ship carrying 459, including 325 students, 15 teachers, and 30 crew members has sank causing the death of 2 and about 293  people declared missing. This is because when one side of the ship began to submerge into the sea, many jumped into the freezing waters below
Earlier,South Korean authorities said 386 passengers had been rescued and that 104 remain unaccounted for. But they now reduced the number to 164 because of double counting..

South Korean coast guard fear the number of casualties could rise as they continue to drag passengers out of the water.
The ferry was sailing to the southern island of Jeju when it sent a distress call Wednesday morning after it began leaning to one side..The government said about 95 percent of the ship was submerged.
